Building Better Opportunities Programme Business Administrator Apprentice

WORK LOCATION:  Gainsborough
HOURS OF WORK:  30 hours per week plus holiday cover
SALARY £:  Apprentice National Minimum Wage
ANNUAL LEAVE:  21 days per annum, plus statutory bank holidays (pro rata)
RESPONSIBLE TO:  Centre Manager


Working on the Building Better Opportunities Programme, the successful candidate will be working in a friendly and fast paced office environment, the successful candidate will manage their own workload and provide administrative support to a small team working within the centre. You will have previous experience of administration and customer service with an excellent knowledge of IT systems, particularly Microsoft packages. You must have first-rate communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from all backgrounds and understand their needs. You will be an excellent team player, have a good personality and present a professional image at all times in all methods of communication. The need to be organised, able to multi-task, pro-active with excellent time management skills to deliver a high quality of work to meet regular deadlines.

This duties and responsibilities involved in this role will involve:    

  • All aspects of administration in relation to the Building Better Opportunities Programme including meeting BBO participants, working with BBO paperwork and supporting the completion of the funders’ paperwork.
  • Answering the telephone in a professional and helpful manner, dealing with queries, taking bookings on a computerised system and taking messages.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the post 
  • Meeting and greeting customers 
  • General administrative duties including: filing, photocopying and contacting learners, all to an excellent standard.
  • Typing correspondence by e-mail and letter
  • Entering confidential data onto internal systems with a high level of accuracy and speed
  • Maintaining a complex filing system
  • Working with various databases to extract and manipulate information
  • Stock control; managing stock levels and reordering as and when appropriate
  • Assisting the team with duties as and when required
  • Provide holiday cover for other staff members
  • Accurate processing of enrolment and registration forms, learner documents using a range of IT systems
  • Data collection and production of reports
  • Providing first class effective administration support to learners
  • Providing administrative support for the centre and other team members
  • To contribute to the continued success and growth of Riverside Training Services Ltd
  • Promoting the services of the company to prospective clients and participating in marketing activities
  • To continue developing your own skills and knowledge by undertaking training as and when required
  • Participate in internal and external meetings as and when required

QUALIFICATIONS
The following qualifications (or equivalent) are required:

  • GCSE C or above in Maths and English or Equivalent
  • GCSE C or Level 1 in ICT or Equivalent
