LEVEL 1 PREPARING TO WORK IN SOCIAL CARE

This is a short and exciting course to provide you with an introduction to working in adult social care and in different social care environments. The course covers:

  • Adult social care definition
  • The principles of adult social care
  • The skills, values and attitudes essential to work in adult social care
  • The responsibilities and limitations of a social care worker
  • The various types of adult social care support and their purpose
  • Jobs available in the adult social care sector
  • Different career opportunities within care

COST: Employed £120 / Unemployed £10 deposit*
DURATION: One morning a week for four weeks – ends on Friday 18 May 2018
LOCATION: Riverside Training Services, Marshall's Yard, Gainsborough

* If you are unemployed a £10 deposit will secure your place and is refundable on full completion of the course.
